Pachmarhi: Picture Puzzles

Pachmarhi is a hill station in Hoshangabad district of Madhya Pradesh state of central India. It has been the location of a cantonment (Pachmarhi Cantonment) since British Raj. It is widely known as Satpura ki Rani (“Queen of Satpura”), situated at a height of 1067 m in a valley of the Satpura Range in Hoshangabad district. Dhupgarh, the highest point (1,352 m) in Madhya Pradesh and the Satpura range, is located here.

Known for it’s sunrise and sunset view point, Dhupgarh is the highest point of the Satpura ranges.

Chauragarh is a pilgrimage site with Lord Siva’s temple at the top. During the festivity of Nagpanchami and Mahashivratri, devotees flock to chauragarh temple in large numbers, heaving up massive near about 2 lakh trishuls as offerings which are kept in front of the temple and also in the way of the temple.

Up next we have the Bee Falls, it is named as such because from a distance the waterfall sounds like a bee.

Jatashankar cave is a cave with frsh water dripping from it. One can witness ecosystem at work out here with mountains feeding the streams with fresh water, the water that they soak-in during autumn.

Chota Mahadeo or Gupt Mahadev, is quite a narrow but 40 ft long cave, where just one person can enter at a time because of lean and little sideways.

Also known as Silver Falls, Raja Prapat Falls is an enchanting waterfall that you should not miss when you are in Madhya Pradesh. Plunging down from a height of 350 feet, Rajat Prapat Falls presents the most spectacular sight during the monsoon season.
